Default interior modification

Ok team so i will be starting my build in the next six months. what im really curious about is interior modifications. Like rear seat delete(lets face it they are useless), i would like to modernize the interior in any way possible. Ideas?

Rear seat delete. Alcantara accents in door panels, dash, and center console. Center console armrest delete. New carpet and soft leather seat covers. Modern nav unit (Bluetooth, Sirius, SD capable) in the double DIN console. Upgraded dash lighting. 930S steering wheel, V1 stealth install, etc, etc, etc... Any questions?

+ 1 on all of the above. except the 968CS wheel being the shattzz for the 9-4-4.

i'm running a seat delete from D-9 as it cuts down the noise, and looks good.

can't wait to have my trim pieces covered in leather once my other projects get done.

Bob at Classic 9. http://www.928leather.com/

seat delete from Benji and Mark at Deutsch Nine. http://www.deutschnine.com/mm5/merch...-aero-dynamics

i'll be leaving my car with Bob for a couple of weeks next summer.

btw, after you get done beautifying your interior, including doing the dash, seats, doors, etc, you'll need a kick *** stereo to go along. by the time you're done, you'll be resting comfortably in your new apartment after your wife kicks you out of the house..

this is a 968CS wheel.

A good option for upholstery: http://www.928leather.com/

NAV system/stereo: Car audio stores?

Upgraded dash lighting: Search. There are many options and routes, from cleaning up the reflector thingys under the gauge cluster to illuminated gauge faces...

930S or 968CS wheel: Dunno... they seem kinda hard to find.

Valentine 1: Google.

Very clean. what's the difference between 968CS and 930S wheel? What hub to use for either one? I am thinking of going this route to update my interior. Any advice on either will and what part/s to get?

Or you can go with the 3 spoke 911 wheel, mine is from 996 GT3. I think with the white gauge faces,it really updates the dash.

That looks pretty nice too...how difficult to get this set up installed. I am trying to go the easiest route...

To OP, I'd do steering wheel upgrade, new shift boot, and replace carpeting etc... Oh and reupholster the seats too if yours is worn out.

that is a beautiful mod. (i'm also running a 996 wheel).

you can also add some sports seats from anything from a 944 on up to a 996...

(these are from a 968 near Montreal that disappeared almost as suddenly as it was listed).

one of the things to pay very close attention to is the machining of the 996 wheel.... on the inside, you'll need to bore in order to accommodate the (24mm?) hex nut and socket.... DO NOT go any deeper than 1/8~5/32" on the inside of the wheel.... then remove about 5/16" off the hub (rear side of wheel) but NO MORE. you need to make up in total of at least 7/16~15/32" to be able to get the wheel safely over the shaft with enough thread left over. do it exactly like this and you're home free.
