Zone 1 Tech Tactics This Weekend
22nd Annual Zone 1 Tech Tactics, March 1 — 3, 2002
The theme this year is "Evolution of Your Model" which is another way of stating we will attempt to cover some technical aspects of your particular model Porsche over the two day program. Our speaker list from the National Technical Committee includes Allan Caldwell for the older 911, Bruce Burris on the water cooled models, Peter Smith for the Boxster crowd, Christian Garibaldi for the turbos, and our own John Paterek (Interiors/Exteriors) for the 356 era. Jim Newton from Automobile Associates, the best lead off man in PCA, will cover club race cars. The new National Technical Committee Chairman, Tom Charlesworth, will be in attendance to add his own personal touch to the weekend as will Bruce Anderson in his new position as PCA Senior Technical Advisor. We also plan to have a representative from Porsche AG who will again provide us with an exciting contest to challenge our skills and entertain our minds.
Saturday’s dinner speaker is the renowned Phil Hill. You won’t want to miss this one.
So mark your calendars now and plan on joining us in Springfield, MA. As always there will be a variety of door prizes, a large group of vendors on hand for great shopping and the Springfield area has lots to offer. An alternative non-technical program is planned for Saturday. There will also be plenty of socializing in the Paterek Brothers sponsored hospitality suite on Friday and Saturday nights.
The event is held at the Sheraton Monarch Hotel in Springfield, MA. The Hartford, CT airport (Bradley International) is just 18 miles away, so take a break from winter and join Zone 1 for a great weekend filled with the best hospitality around and great speakers covering a wide variety of topics.
