You know this thread has been seen almost 20000 times and it started as a very technical and on topic well focused material, now in a few posts by a soldier of fortune, a disgraced councilman and a ghey New Zelander it has degenerated rapidly

Patrick,
Sorry about the car and glad you're OK.
I watched both videos. And while in the 1st video, the car in front may have been dropping oil.... the second video that for sure wasn't the case.
What I noticed in both videos is how the car seems to "snap" when it slides. I'd be looking at the setup as it looks like it really wants to oversteer.
As far as dropping oil goes.... on a front engine car... if it's dropping oil, it will be affecting it's own handling because that oil will get on the back tires and cause the car to get loose. I didn't see that with the car in front (the first crash video).
So yeah... I'd take a look at your setup. And it's not the shock valving/adjustments. It's the spring rates, sway bar, and differential I'd be looking at. These car's shouldn't snap like that. Mine doesn't. When it slides, it's like it's in slow motion and it doesn't come around like that.
