Thanks Mark but in this case we think she's a 'He'. We're going with 'Vader'!!

Hey Pat, how does the gearbox pattern work.?

I was looking at the gear on the MOTEC display, it seemed 3rd is where 4th normally is etc, hence wondering.

Well spotted Mark. It's GPS configured (speed related) so if the parameters set are incorrect, it shows the wrong gear. Oh, and the fact that I am not quite feeling as at home with this 6 speed as I did the 5 speed so am sometimes selecting 5th again when trying to go straight into 3rd say at the end of W.Park straight. Just a minor adjustment on the Motec, more of an uppercut applied to myself! Have to say that the gear number on the display was the last thing I was looking at when hanging on for dear life...heheh.

Default THIS JUST IN.....

Had some Pro pics taken last night at the workshop. I wasn't there but this is a sneak preview of what he did. Apparently the car will be going in a few Mags and on Internet sites. Who'd a thunk it from such humble origins as a pretty battered 1986 951 when I bought it in about 2009.

That is one bad looking car!

Having a flat torque curve is IMO way more exciting then one with a peak. You just feel a constant burst of power and it just continues!

Enjoy it!

It's actually a little bit laggy and then a decent shove followed by constant shove. Have to learn to pre order the boost again. Not that bad, but a couple very tight corners at Wakefield Park exacerbated that.

Officially the meanest looking 951 I've seen. Good to see you've got it back together and better than ever, here's hoping another wall won't jump out in front of you

Amazing!!!

I love that the build was shared right before our eyes.

Just not that long ago, you were tooling around in the grey machine, considering E85......

I have to say sorry for the overindulgence of the last few days. Don't mean to be flooding the forum with pics & posts. It's just that it's been a long time coming and accompanied by a lot of heartache along the way (strictly car heartache that is, nothing really serious) so to have it finally appear in this state is quite surreal. I have felt like I'm in a dreamstate all week. Right up to the last days we had some quite major issues and had to suddenly pull the motor out and down to fix some oil pressure issues. That was a real pisser and cost many thousands for the privilege. Wound up being an issue with the piston squirters leaking past their sides. So anyway, forgive the over enthusiasm and I'll try to keep the 'baby photos' to a minimum!
