Default Crank sensor

is it possible something destroyed my sensor from the inside? I had the one closest to the front of the car out less than a week ago trying to diagnose a problem, I loosened the 10mm and it pulled right out. now when I try to pull it out it only comes up about an 1/8th inch and wont budge any further. is there a trick?

It should slide out if not damaged. Try twisting and pulling at the same time; they can be stubborn.

If that doesn't work, rotate the engine by hand until you see the stud on the flywheel through the TDC inspection window. Make sure the stud is not damaged. If it is, it may have hit the end of the sensor and damaged it. If this is the case, you'll need to remove the entire sensor block.
