Details? Mostly with older cars (if your lucky, you don't have to test anymore) what you got or did that you have to test?

* Test 4- I ran 0 degree timing change and used the tune from run 2. I installed a new car quest 3" cat and went to the emissions and passed. My numbers we: HC 1.03/1.40, CO 5.00/ 20.00, and NOX .42/ 3.00 I am safe for another two years and I will be taking the new cat off right away so it does not ruined. It was only $75 for the cat plus welding it on.

I am kinda mad that the $200 SFR one didn't do the job, but I am ecstatic that I finally passed/
Congratulations!

And it looks like a another low for SFR , well,it least you got your part but wow man just wow!

They just passed a new law a year ago thanks to our ultra liberal governor. All cars after '75 have to get emmisions. I live out in farm country too. Stupid really

I’m hoping this might be of future use to someone trying to pass emissions.

2012 2014(1) 2014(2) 2014(3)
HC 0.8596 2.4229 2.1289 1.4992
CO 5.9722 14.3291 19.8889 13.4293
CO2 377.1490 355.3000 391.5260 340.4027
NOX 1.0739 3.3860 3.0897 2.4570

In 2012 the car was mostly stock, just a K&N air filter.

First try in 2014 was with Lindsey Racing’s 270 rwhp package: wastegate shims, turbo boost enhancer, 3 bar fuel pressure regulator, remapped DME and KLR chips, 3” exhaust with hi-flow cat and Magnaflow muffler.

Try (2) cleaned air filter, new plugs, new throttle position sensor, deleted turbo boost enhancer.

Try (3) as above, but put original chips back in, put original fuel pressure regulator back in.

So my conclusion is that it’s mostly the chips that caused my failure. In two years when I have to submit to the emissions process again, I’ll swap the chips and leave everything else in place and see how that goes.
