Default Bursch Test Pipe

guick question, i'm trying to buy a used test pipe from a guy with an '89 Turbo and my car is a stock '86 turbo. on pelican the bursch test pipe is only listed for 86-88. will it bolt up?

The later cars use a football shaped flange for the wastegate tie in. Your car should have a clamp instead. I used an '89 Bursh pipe on my car by cutting off the flange.... or I suppose you could just secure it out of the way and hope it doesn't rattle... Or you can use a later style wastegate tie-in flange on the wastegate side. So, yes, you can make it work, but you'll need to adapt a bit...

fabspeed sells the flange for $30 shipped.

or you can try to find someone who is parting their car or decided to do a WG dump.

Or cut the flange off on the exhaust side as Tom said.

I didn't mean to discourage you from getting it. It's easy to adapt. Cut off the flange and you're done...

Cut off the Bursch flange for my buddy’s ’86 and used his stock clamps… works fine.
