Weight reduction comes from everything being fiberglass (hood, roof, front fenders, bumpers), gutted doors (no middle bar), light weight wheels, thinner walled chrome moly cage, complete gutting of interior (including all stock wiring harnesses), engine reductions (no balance shafts, no AC, no PS) Remember that this is a dry weight (less than 1/4 tank of gas and no driver weight). I will say that weight reduction has a greater impact per dollar than anything you can do to your car

Carl, if you are running a non "S" car you probably have around 210rwhp. An "S" car will probably have around 225rwhp. Assumes 15psi of boost. There are many factors involved in those guestimates, but the numbers come from real dyno charts to get before and afters.

Turning boost to 18psi and increasing fuel pressure you could go as high as 300rwhp.

Yeah, it depends upon which turbo you get from Scott. It could be good for 300rwhp or 600-900rwhp! Then you have to make upgrades to intakes, injectors, exhaust, cams and engine-management to deal with the flow from that turbo. Everything's connected.

951Racer,

2350 is impressive. I'm at about 2390. The roof is steel and the winshield is glass. A friend is installing a set of GT Racing fiberglass door skins at about 5 lb each. He has gutted doors which weighed about 40 lb. each. That's a quick 70 lb. savings.

I've got a Gomes turbo in hibernation so I think this is still keeping with the thread.

This has nothing to do with a Scott Gomes turbo...
But at 1475lbs, it sure was fun to drive! ...which sort-of has something to do with a, uh, uh, Scott Gomes turbo!... uh, yeah! <img border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" title="" src="graemlins/bigok.gif" />
