Turbo Downpipe Gasket
Finally got the turbo out of my car!! I had to drill out the 2 allen head bolts that attach the center section to the motor support from the top, destroying the flange in the process, but anyway..
There was only a paper-type gasket between the pipe exiting the rear of the turbo and the downpipe, at the 3-bolt flange. The parts guy tells me there is supposed to be a seal ring here not a gasket. Anyone know what's on their car?

Gary,,they are right; well in the stock configuration - seal ring. After market test pipe or full 3" exhaust then you will probably find a heat resistant gasket, made from a fiberous gasket material.

Gary,
If you want to save about 50% on new rings. carpartstogo.com has them for 6$ to 11$ per ring. It uses the same search setup as GPRparts.com, but is cheaper for most OEM parts.
