free flow exhaust, guru stage-1 MAP kit or standalone, dual port wastegate, headwork, more boost. Maybe some other things, but i dont think you could get more than 300Rwhp if that. The stock turbo just runs out of steam at higher rpms. An upgraded turbo with these same modifications could yeild you alot more hp. just change it to a stage-2 MAP kit and throw in some bigger injectors.

You wouldn't see any power increase above 18 psi on a k26/6 and that's only enough air to flow around 275ish rwhp I believe (on a STRONG motor)!?!?!

I HAVE to disagree. Maybe not on paper.....but......there is a HUGE difference between 18 and 24psi with a 26/6

Yeah, you won't notice much in the max-HP numbers by increasing the boost on the stock turbo because of high-end flow and injector limits. But you'll get a significant boost in mid-rnage TORQUE, which is really what accelerates your car down the street anyway.

Well, maybe for about 1000rpm before the boost and torque starts to drop .

Oh yeah, forgot to mention the stock turbo flow-capacity and stock injector limits. If you turn up max-boost to 18psi, it will drop off even faster to 12psi @ redline instead of 13psi@redline if you had 15psi max-boost. Also you'll max out the injectors at 5000rpm now instead of 6000rpm. Not to mention the outlet air-temps will skyrocket due to the turbo being out of its efficiency sweet-spot on the turbo-map. Much easier to blow a headgasket, just say no to boost levels above 15psi with a stock turbo (even then that can be risky).

What's the highest rear wheel number anybody with the GURU map kit has gotten with the stock turbo? I'd say whatever that is is pretty close to your answer jimbo.

We got 261rwhp/303lb-ft torque on our car (which is identical to Steve's + a cat-bypass). Similar HP numbers seem to indicate that there's a high-RPM flow drop; we measured 13.5psi @ redline (down from 15.5psi max). However, a new muffler got us one additional PSI @ redline today. Combined with an injector upgrade since we're maxing out the stock ones at 100% duty-cycle around 5500rpm. We're going to install intercooler pipes with water-injection to break the 300rwhp barrier on a stock k26/6 TURBO !!!

Danno thats awsome, looks like your going to actualy reach your goal. 300rwhp with the stock turbo, i knew you could do it

could you tell more about the intercooler pipes with water-injection? or is that a secret project.

Yeah, I would rather go with water injection first if you are looking at HP numbers. The aquamist stage 1 system goes for about 400 bucks and is very easy to install. Danno, Can you offer anything special?
