I've bin dere done dat! My research (Grassroots & TireRack, C&D, track day buddies , etc) led me to buy the best DD summer tire that could take a track day, the Yoko AD08 See: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....VAN+Neova+AD08

My friend has the bfg tires. He said they get noisy towards the end of their life. I have heard really good things about the hankook ventus v12 though. I would choose that over the BFG.

Next time I buy tires I will be trying the hankook RS3. I have heard lots of good things about those. Its pretty hot and dry the entire year where I live though, so I am only concerned about dry traction.

thanks for the response...looks like a great tire at an additional cost. Though they don't offer a 245/35/18 for the front.
