Just a tip for loss of boost. Tried all the standard tests: cycling valve, wastegate, etc. No go. Decided to do a full rebuild for unrelated reasons, and found the problem. One of the little plastic spigots on the cycling valve that connect to the vacuum hoses was broken right at the face of the cycling valve. It must have been cracked and finally broke, but you couldn't see the break. Tip: pull off the hoses at the cycling valve, and check the spigots. The valve may "click", but not be getting the signal out.
