Along time ago I saw and advert for what was described as a "very rare factory glass sunroof " for a 944 etc. Does anyone else know of such an option? It was being sold in the USA for around $450 if I recall correct.

Any info on these would be appreciated,

Saratoga suroofs are probably what you saw. They made tinted glass sunroofs for 944's for a few years, but they have stopped making them, and thrown out all of their leftovers a LONG time ago. They are sometimes sold on e-bay for much more than they were ever worth (unless you just have $$$ rolling out your...), anyway, there is a thread on the main 924/944/951/968 board by TaboII (I believe) about them. I believe he's trying to work something out w/another company to start making some glass tops for our cars again. Check out the thread and RESPOND if you're interested. It might be on the 2nd page of messages by now, as that board sees a MUCH higher volume of messages than the 951 board. But definatley reply to it, b/c the more interest there is, the more likely something can be worked out, and, the more reasonable the cost
