Actually, 493 is the HP on the SL, S, and CL 55 motors, with 516 ft-lbs of torque.

Hey, how exactly do you bypass the CV, or where do you drill the holes if that's the better approach?

Bypassing the CV will take away the car's ability to reduce boost when the KLR detects detonation, but it won't disable the overboost protection. You need aftermarket chips to do that.

But the KLR would still retard timing if it detected knock, right?
