just did a quick search and found out that the stock intercoolers on the amg C32s are water to air coolers.
unless he changed it, i doubt he'd know what was under the hood.

Unless those cars were made of lead, I cannot see how a 928 GTS would outweigh a current V8 Cayenne, given the latter's AWD, size, luxury/safety items, etc. Or looked at another way, this is 700lbs more than a Panamera Turbo.
Sure no-one's mixing up GVWR and curb weight?
FWIW, Wikipedia puts the car at between 3200 and 3600 lbs.

raced a few of those. One that always showed up on Saturday nights back in the day, the Kids dad bought it for him. Amazing..and he ended up flipping it end over end before the end of a year. It was as fast as my NSX. 13.4 sec @ 104mph (without nitrous) (13.2 was my fastest on a cool night) So yeah, they're pretty quick as is.. no mods. Oh yeah, the quarter mile time or the NSX was stock.. 1991.. Me driving though with Nitto Street/drag radials. It's all in the start and zero care for your transmission. I know car and driver says 13.9-14.1. Don't care and neither did my time slips.

I have a friend with a really nice C32, and yes they are pretty strong even stock. His is the supercharged V6, it's a nice setup.
The early AMG's were a V6 setup. The later C32 AMG's are a NA V8. So if this guy had V8 badging on his car then he was full of ish. The V8's are not supercharged, if they were they would be 505 stock hp monster's and would be much more popular. Instead both the V6 and V8 versions are around 340 to 360 hp.
So I don't see where he is going to have an intercooler leak on a NA V8? He might of slapped the Kompresser badge on the car to be cool. Nice kill anyway you slice it, and let's me know where I need to be before playing with my friend. He want's me bad, but not after I get done with my Rogue M-tune and 18 lbs of boost

C36....inline six NA
C32....supercharged v6
C43....NA V8
C63....NA V8 6.3 l
With the exception of the C63 which does with a software update/exhaust elevens/ 120 mph they are relative slow due to weight to power ratio.

I think it's just a supercharged V6 though I thought I saw a V8 symbol? Left work yesterday heading home with the A/C on. Taking a left onto a lonely road and this Mercedes jumps all over my *** end through the turn. I remained calm and went around the one car in the way. After clearing the same car he jumps on it and pulls up on me at speed. I nailed it (3rd) gear and pulled him nicely though really only a couple cars. Hell he hung tight!
Next right onto another wide road and he whips up on me again. This time it's a 2nd gear roll PLUS my A/C was off and I dialed in another pound of boost on the MBC
Not very close this time so he lets off pretty quick to save face.
He pulls up at the next light and that's when I see all the AMG badging and a killer set of wheels. He rolled down his window (more than most of them do) and seemed confused and shocked. "uh...that things quick?" he exclaims as if asking a question. BTW, I'm guessing he was NOT stock as again the car hung pretty tight on the third gear roll.
Now is when it got funny...he then stated "well I have a leak in my intercooler" and then hangs a right. LOL. Come on buddy...take the loss like a man.

Not to be rude, but it's hard to be misinformed when I see my friends C32 every week, and I have worked on it with him several times. I did not mention the previous C series because they are older, and I know about the C43 being the V8 I just did not put C43 in the post. This was because the OP figured it was the V6 version, but had the V8 badge on it. Which could be misleading by the owner of the car he ran with.
I have also test drove a couple of the AMG cars myself as I am tempted to buy an E55 AMG within this year. I am debating upon one of those or the Cadillac V series. I recently drove the new 2 door CTS V and was overall impressed with the whole car.
Regardless, the AMG line is a solid performance series from MB.
