Cheap coilovers are never a good thing, stick to names you know. I wouldn't put those on a Honda. Way, way too many cheap coilovers don't go through QA and are made out of the cheapest materials possible, usually not up to the stresses of racing, and quite often not even as durable as stock parts.

I agree with ya. I am going to go with koni from paragon. but the funny thing is cheap sometimes does work. friend of mine has on his nissan 240 a set of under 1000 coil overs and they came with what ever spring rates u want. chamber plates etc and have been mint for 7 years. street and track use. clearly jap car replacement stuff is not over priced like when you order for german cars.

Although part prices are always variable with the cost and prestige of the car! An "expensive" and good quality coilover set for a Civic, for example would cost around $1,700 (a friend was complaining how much it cost :p) so I'm pretty sure coilovers for a 240SX around $1,000 is probably equivalent to a kit that costs $2,000 for us (give or take a few hundred)
Just wondering, tho apologies to the OT, has anyone on here heard of BC Racing coilovers? A friend of mine who tracks his BMW says they're good quality and can handle lots of track abuse for an entry level coilover. Besides he got his set for around $1,500. They have other Porsche models on the website but when I spoke to a rep. they said that the site is very outdated and there are several more models provided but he couldn't tell me if they had a set for ours |
Yep they have been around for at least a few years, and I think I saw a write up on them on one of the 370 Z sites. BC or Koni's are among the options I'm considering for my Tercel.

You can't fit them with out additional hardware. You need a spherical rod end adapter and 2.25 inch springs for the rear. My understanding is that 2.5 inch coil over springs are to large in diameter to fit on the rear of the 44's.
