I will answer some of your questions to the best of my ability. The thing that you have to take into consideration is the torque and power curves. They are pretty flat.Take a look at the run number. Run .003! The car was not finely tuned at ths point. The slow boost build up is due to the size of the turbo and a need for a little more tuning. You need a fairly large turbo(with a large hotside) to move enough air to make 320 horsepower at only 10 psi! The car actually peaked out at 328 horsepower, at 9.5 psi of boost (on run .005) but I lost the chart. This is just some initial testing. The turbo is not even in its efficiency range at this boost level!
The works, means the works. Engine management, SFR full exhaust, 46mm Tial wastegate with SFR dumptube, SFR headwork and cam, SFR intercooler, SFR dual ball-bearing turbo, SFR headers and crossover, etc..........

Do you even know what you're talking about? The fourth gear ratio of a 944 Turbo is 1.03:1 and you can tell the car is in fourth based on the velocity at any given RPM of the motor. It's not in fifth gear, or redline would've been around 170.

What's the displacement of this engine?

Tim, that is exactly what I noticed when I first looked at the chart. That's a beautiful torque curve!!!
I look forward to the full boost runs at higher boost levels.

Let's see here. Yesterday you posted this link:

But TODAY, you edited your post and changed the link to:

Why'd you do that? I see you deleted the license plate number of this car. Interesting...so I went to your website and checked out your dyno charts. Sure enough I found the car by the license plate, and it's got all the goodies you describe except for *GASP* a 2.8 liter engine [second from the top].

Unfortuntely, I guess you blew that sucker up because when we saw that car last year at your SFR shop it had a 3 liter engine you were very proud of. Why would the car now have a 2.5 liter engine if you were so proud of the 3 liter engine you built? You were even giving joy rides in it [well, until you blew the turbo in the customer's car].
Anything to say for yourself, bro? <img border="0" alt="[nono]" title="" src="graemlins/nono.gif" />

Heaven Forbid he could test on a 2.5 liter car, since that is what most of the customer base is running.
What is your problem PorscheG96? I see you doing this type of thing all the time.
What are you training to be Rennlist's very own private detective? Why don't you let the tuners do thier R&D without questioning... I am not affiliated with SFR, I'm just a satisfied customer. This is capitalism... If the product doesn't come through on what it promises, the market will respond.

I don't see anything wrong with someone calling an aftermarket tuner on their claims. If Tim claims it was a 2.8L and it appears otherwise....what's the harm in finding out the truth? Wouldn't you rather know that those HP/Torque numbers are legitimate before you place your order?

Tim is one of the most respected tuners out there for our cars. I don't believe he would say it was a 2.5 if it was a 2.8
Furthermore, I have seen PorscheG96 get an attitude with alot of other people on this board.

What PorscheG96 is doing is the ability to exercise freedom, We have the right to put in question whoever we want, whenever we want. Hell yes I want the truth, if I am going to buy and use my money I want to know, some people may have a good experience with an X vendor some may not, but porscheG96 has a point; why was the license # erased? Hey, he got my attention.

Granted he might be a little biased, but I think he knows Tim better than most people do (at least people here on rennlist, 99% of whom don't know Tim at all.) I don't know anything about the car, and about how it was setup, etc. so I'm not going to point fingers or anything, but I think it's pretty reasonable for Trev to ask questions about what car it is, given his experience.
I've talked to Trevor a lot, and he's got an attitude because a lot of the time he's right, as far as I've seen.

I don't know why the license number was erased, but I do know that it is common practice on some other boards I frequent, to blur the license plates in a picture that is posted on the net. Can I tell you why it was not blurred in the first place? No, I cannot.
I am not questioning anyone's right to question Tim or anyone else. I am, however, saying that there is no need to treat people with such contempt, and for posts dripping with unprovoked sarcasm.
Just read the post! You can't tell me that its just objectional questions.

Nobody is being sarcastical here, porscheG96 has a genuine concern, why is he being questioned because of his point of view. The solution is simple, let Tim Answer. it may be that he installed a new more powerful 2.5L than the previous 2.8L who knows?

Lart951- to quote G96,
"LOL, are you kidding?? Do you even know what you're talking about?"
I would say you don't, if you think those comments weren't saturated with contempt and sarcasm.

Well the guys know each other and if they are friends, that kind of language is between the boundaries of friendship.
