Just bought my first 2 944's

Hey all,

I jsut bought my first 2 944's Auction page And i was wondering what you guy's thought of them, and what kind of things i need to replace and what to look for. Also how do i fix what the guy has mentioned in his add as being wrong. oh and what performance parts if any are availiable for them. thanks in adavnce.

Cheers,
Nic

great cars man..i actually looked at that auction myself. Both cars seem to be in good condition with only minor things needed...well the 83' needing need a/c my set you back a little but over all not bad at all.The arent that many performance mods for the n/a..other than the obvious cam,gears,exhaust,chips..ect. The 951 is a great car and with just a little money can be blowing the doors off of most other modded k27's and even the newer k29's.My bet would be a test pipe($250) wastegate shim($30) bypass your cv(lbe or banjo bolt...$80) remove the stock intake for a new polised straight pipe w/ k&n filter($150) and a nice set of guru chips...and a coupe of pounds of boost...and for well under a 1000.00 you could easly have 300 crank hp.Thats about as cheap as it can get....i promise you wont be disapointed in the performance side of the 951.My advice before doing anything is going and have a complete checkup done at your local porsche center with both cars.Tune ups. belt and hose changes along with oil is a good start.Goodluck and grats on your purchase should be alot of fun.welcome to the boost addiction.

Wow! They're purdy.

I'd love to have that black turbo sitting in the garage next to my red one. Nice.

Looks like you may need some more bass for your stereo system.
