Replacing engine mounts
What's the best/easiest way to change out the engine mounts? Do you jack the engine up from the oil pan, or hoist it up from the top with a crane?

There was a guy that posted a 4-hour procedure last month. He had done it by keeping the cross-member and suspension intact. Just jacked up the motor and replaced the mounts that way. I'm assuming he disconnected the exhaust and torque tube? Anyway, the post got lost in the server crash and if he could repost, that'd be great.
Also what are the differences with the types of motor mounts available? Heard that the aftermarket solid rubber mounts weren't as good as the Porsche solid rubber mounts? On Markus's website, he said that the Porsche hydraulic mounts are the smoothest. Is this the Porsche "updated" mounts? Or the OEM hydraulic mounts?

For the 'non-remove-crossmember' version, try the Porsche Garage: (Under the repair section)

I think the original mounts were hydralic, the revisied factory mounts and all aftermarket mounts are rubber...
Some people claim that the factory rubber mounts last longer... but no there is no general concenus on that...
