951 dash board question
 

I want to purchase a corbon fiber dash kit for my 86-951. I hae seen them adertised for 89 on models of the 951 did the dash change???

No, all Turbos SHOULD be the same- it's the pre '85.5's that were different... I have a Turbo S, and have sat in an '87 and an '89 recently, and they all looked IDENTICAL to me... Might want to ask the place why they advertise them that way though, as it woulod seem to me that they would advertise it the other way around, as there were many more '86's than any other year...

I agree with Robby. In my search for my 951, I looked at 5 cars. 3 from 1986, 1 from 1987, 1 from 1988. The interior of the cars all looked the same.

I'm also looking for carbon fibre myself. Who are you ordering from? Are you ordering from a website or a catalog? How pricy are they?

Are you talking about the flat dash- I think that's what Exotic Wood Dash sells- I can't get to the site right now, for some reason, but if it's what I think it is, then it goes for $195(?). The other carbon fibre dash kits from places like GT Racing are the actual dash boards themselves. The flat dash trim pieces are nice though- I'm considering ordering one myself. Most places that sell flat dash CF kits, sell stick-on types, but I believe the place you're referring too has replacement CF pieces(?). The stick-on types are usually around $500 too- it seems to me that the replacement pieces would be more expensive- I thought the stick-on types would look terrible, but I have seen a picture of a 951 on someone's website, and it looked pretty nice- I'd still rather have the real CF replacement pieces- especially since they're less than half the price of the others...

Please let me know how it goes if you get it... I think it would be worth $200, considering that replacing those pieces in the factory plastic, would have to be more than that...
