Hello all!

I'll be getting my 951 tomorrow. Very excited; I'll have trouble sleeping tonight (LOL). The car is Black on Black, 1986 with close to 60,000 miles. I've been browsing this forum for a couple of months now. I feel like I know some of you guys personally. I know I'm gonna have tons of questions. Please be indulgent, they will be newbie questions. I know very little about mechanics, but I'm very good at learning. Believe it or not, my wife has been the one who's pushed me into finally taking the plunge. Both my sons are also very excited and they're fighting about who's gonna sit in the passenger seat on the trip back home. <img border="0" alt="[jumper]" title="" src="graemlins/jumper.gif" />

When I get the car, I'll take pictures. Must one be a Rennlist member to post pictures ?

Congrats... as for posting pictures, you have to be a member for the Rennlist site to host a picture but if you have another place to host a picture then you can just link to that site and have the picture show in the thread here. I'll gladly upload the photo for you if you don't have another hosting option (I'm sure any of them members here will do the same).

Brian, thanks for the offer. I may be able to link to another site. Any size pictures preferable (640 X 480, 800 X 800, etc.)?

My first one was a black on black '86, all 3 of kids rode home in it!! (no one wanted to ride in the back ever again!!)

Bring a couple of pillows for the kids to sit on ...they will need them.

Boy, I remember how that felt.
I can still remember walking out into the garage and seeing that bright red Porsche just sitting there. I'd close the door and then open it again and it was still there...

Then a couple months later, I felt it again after the first one was totaled by an SUV. <img border="0" alt="[crying]" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" />

Then about 4 months later, I felt it once again when I bought a shell to rebuild the first one. But this one sat in the backyard instead of the garage..

The ride home was beautiful. Nice and sunny today in southern Quebec (6-9° Celsius, that's 40-50° F). Snow was melting everywhere...Hence the car is already very dirty. Don't worry I'll take care of that soon!

I'll take pictures afterwards. And yes I do plan to get involved with PCA.
