Wheel Fitment Confirmation True 996 Hollow Turbo Twist 18" Wheels
Can someone with experience tell me if these will directly bolt onto an '89.
ADD:
I am selling 4 wheels , original 911 996 Porsche Turbo Twist Hollow Spoke with metal valves.
The real deal from Porsche: P/N 996.362.136.04 for the front and 996.362.142.03 for the rear.
Mounted Toyo R888 with standard size tires on them (225x40-18 front and 295x30-18 in the rear)
Thanks!

These will NOT fit on a late offset 944. The rear offsets are just too much, I think they're an ET40. I tried to fit these and it wasn't even close and that was on my '89 951 with lots of rear camber.
You need the narrow body fitment ET65 wheels to fit...

Three Wheelin'
the fronts are a 8Jx18 w/52mm offest (XXX-362-136-XX) 996-362-136-04 will be newer version of the TT spoke wheels.
The rears 996.362.142.03 is a 11Jx18 w/ET 45 (from the C4) what you need is the 10Jx18 PN/ 993(996)-362-140-04(50) with a ET65.

Thanks a million! Too bad it was a good deal.
I found this little bit of information from the 911 forum:
Hollow wheels also always have metal valve stems where the solid wheels have rubber stems from the factory. Part numbers are as follows:
Early 2001 996 Turbo
8x18 50mm Solid 996.362.136.01
11x18 45mm Solid 996.362.142.10
Late 2001 and after 996 Turbo
8x18 50mm Hollow 996.362.136.04
11x18 45mm Hollow 996.362.142.03 and 996.362.142.11
2005 996 Turbo S (darker silver wheels)
8x18 50mm Hollow 996.362.136.32
11x18 45mm Hollow 996.362.142.32
Didn't have the offsets, which are posted now anyway. Thanks again!

I used them on my 89, but it takes work, and even with 285's I got a slight rub. I can fit them on my 87 but they are not legal for stock.
If its an 89 then 996 wheels need a 3-4mm spacer on the fronts to clear the bearing cap. On non S hubs you need a 6-7mm spacer to clear the cap, alternatively run without caps and relay on the wheel center cap.
I have a pair of 18X8 et50 996 hollows, and a pair of 18X8 ET52 993 holows for sale if anyone is looking for wheels. They are a great low cost, street/track wheel. Light and strong, easy to keep clean.

My trailing arms are full spherical so there is little lateral movement. 285 Hoosiers is as far as I could go and then there was a slight side wall rub forced by the wide rim. A 10" rim fixes the problem.
My preference would be a 18x10 ET 40 rim for the rear, which are available in 993's but right now I am running Carrera 5 spokes.
