Default transaxle to chassis brace

Anyone here remember a thread about a brace between the transaxle and chassis, to reduse lateral stress on the CV joints ? What are the attachment points ? It didn't seem very difficult, wondering if its worthwhile.

Dan (xsboost90) made one and eventually took it off due to the noise. Should be able to find the thread by searching for him as the author.

Do a google search on "pan hard bar", that should give you enough information on the subject. I am not entirely convinced it will make much of a difference. While the transaxle itself does move a bit under load, the trailing arms off the torsion bar carrier and the cv shafts themselves perform the same work, by design. Pan hard bars are primarily intended for solid axle set ups, such as a Ford set up (yes, there are some irs set ups that use them).

Race cars run solid mounts. They are great for solid feel and what not, for a daily driver/weekend cruiser not so much. Run a semi solid mount that XSChop makes. On my old 924S I ran stock mounts filled with window weld. It made a huge difference much less wheels hop and no more noise than stock.

Bruce couldn't remember what it was and I was too lazy to look it up. My car is with Sam right now getting Motec'd. We are looking at using the distributor position for the reference and sync location. I am in high hopes of having it back by the end of this month. Do you have any gas maps or are all your maps alcohol?
