Default Placement of wideband sensor?

Most companies recommend placement of the sensor at least 16" after the turbo but I assume this is valid for cars with short headers before the turbo.

Can the wideband sensor be placed where the original sensor is placed or is the temp too high?

OK, no use for narrowband simulation then....

I have a sensor bung just before the cat as well, only problem is that to get the sensor to fit I couldn't follow the installation recommendations. It wasn't possible to get the sensor pointing in the 10 to 14 position, it ended up about 8:30.

Do you have any installation pictures?

Where's the bet place to route tha cable thru the body?

Har sen dess även monterat en kopparplåt för värmeavledning på sonden då jag elda upp en först.

Min kabel går in på samma ställe som kablarna till databoxen går, gjorde en liten slits i gummit bara.

Huh? Was that the Swedish Chef from the Muppets?

Its not just the heat that really effects the wide band sensor – it’s the pressure and the heat. Pressures up to 50 psi in the pre turbo exhaust are not uncommon in high boost applications.
8:30 is fine for mounting angle.

The other wiring possibility is to run the wires up through the shifter area. This gives you the easiest access to the console area too!

It was, and he recommends placement just before the cat and routing thru the EMS grommet/sealing.

Forgot about the pressure.... still not used to the odd placement of the turbo on these cars....

I'd like to avoid having the cabling cross over/under the exhaust. The sensor is on the left side (can't remember why it was placed there...). The shifter area sound like a good idea, will have a look at the car after the holidays to se if it could work.
