I have a dilemma here ...I bought this sway bar from Andial ( on the recommendation of Porsche Motorsports in Germany ( reason being it would be cheaper in the long run as shipping tarrifs etc would be included in the purchase from Germany vs Andial ... Any how ... Here is my issue: My bar doesn't even have the slot required for the E clips ...
What gives??? What bar do I have ?

Does it measure 30mm?

I guess (20yrs ago ) I just didn't understand how they were to go on, so I just didn't bother with them...

Yes and Yes like 1990 and it's 30mm ( it has what looks to be an Allen plug on each end ) What's really strange is that I bought a set of those E clips from them and they are worthless ...

My guess is, your guess is correct and they sold me and earlier bar, that didnt have the slots ( it's just funny, because they sold me the dam clips)

Interesting info in here!
I use these bushings on my rear sway bar (well, mine is 19mm but they make them in all sizes):
http://www.energysuspensionparts.com...sp?prod=9.5125
It was a very simple modification--i put a piece of flat bar behind these and they work like a champ. The price was right too!

Question
I need to order new front bushings as the ones I have pictured, are squeezing out of the drop links
Does Porsche make the type you pictured for your rear bar ? Are they plastic and do they make any noise ?
kind regards
thanks

I have never seen those plastic bushings before or since. And I only have the pair for the rear bar. I dont know for certain the original source on them, but believe it was a porsche motorsport part. Although the part number on them is the same as the 21mm rubber bushing. Its sort of a semi flexible plastic. Much harder durometer than rubber, but not as rigid/hard as delrin or polygraphite.
The only bushings for the front 30mm bars that I am aware of are the factory rubber and the racer's edge delrin.

Thanks Jim as always !!
I think I will just go with the rubber one's for the front ...If I remember those racers edge bushings were pretty expensive ( and my car is not going to be a "track car " )
All the best

I thought those were the (only) ones you were talking about. FWIW, the ones that go to the A-arm are not "must haves," as you can use the original ones (though I'll be replacing them when I pick up a set of these bars (30mm and 19mm adj)).
