Gearbox oil - Swepco 201 or 210?
My gearbox builder has recommended I switch to swepco fluids for my combo DE/street car. For those of you using swepco fluids, are you using the lighter 201 or the heavier 210?
LSD unit if it matters.

Jeff, I'll look. I have a LOT of it. If you want some, I'll sell it too you at a discount. I'd like to get rid of it. I have....seriously...a lot.

I use 210 in mine w/LSD...PO put in a Fidanza flywheel so I get some whirring in lower gears and was trying to quiet that down a little. Either is fine though...

Either is OK, I have run both with lots of track time as well as street driving. I have a factory LSD as well, and I have only specifically read Swepco documentation of 201 (blue stuff) having friction modifiers for Porsche clutch-type LSD diffs built in, but I have run 210 (red stuff) no problem, no chattering on normal turns and LSD works as it should on track. We put 210 in customer G50-based 964/993/996 boxes as well, LSD or not with good results. 210 is a bit thicker if that helps. 201 is a bit more readily available and I think a bit cheaper.
Did you ever get your diff noise problem resolved?

Hi Chris - thanks for the input. I have a call into Fordahl to see what they recommend; they are just down the road from me and Greg sets up oodles of Spec 944s. Will advise on what I hear back.
Re the noise - I have the unit out now and my gearbox guy is checking it out. Should hear back next week sometime.... He did explain the issue with the play in the LHS output shaft which I posted on the other thread that I started on the diffy noise; that was helpful.
