I switched to a manual after replacing all the power lines twice. The feel is nice but i have to work more to get the car to turn, especially up here in WNC, the land of switchbacks.

There are times I wish i had a power rack but if you change your driving style it isnt bad. Ive never been on a real road course but have been autocrossing and driving in the mountains since i started driving.

What is your caster angle set to? You might want to reduce it some.

I'm using a de powered ps rack due to bad leaks. Just bought a manual rack here, but am actually thinking about going back to a ps setup. I'd like to investigate an electric ps pump. Anyone do that and have any info on how to do it?

Or better yet, a full electric power steering with adjustable force

I have the electric powered hydraulic pump on my car. Like it a lot. I thought I had showed it to you.

I didn't go back and read the whole article, but skimmed a few pages. When I swapped to the manual rack on my 86 - I loved it. The feedback while driving was nice, parking effort was not too much harder on the street either. But I was only running 245's up front.

I know that running a "plugged off" power rack is far from optimal due to the ratio of the power rack vs the manual rack.
