Project 951 young man's first Porsche
 

does any of you have a Slate Grey Metallic 951 with some other interior color than Burgundy? Would like to see pictures what else factory installed to Slate Grey cars.

I am building my "86 951 that is slate grey. I have put the black leather interior in and I really like it

Was the interior originally Burgundy?

It's going good. Got all interior in and motor is in. Just have to do brakes, belts, and timing chain

Completely Linen version would be nice to see; mainly because my son have reserved one of my Linen interiors for this project.

Mine had full Black leather but I think the original owner picked this option.

Hey Olli, Where did you source the LQ cargo mat from? I've only seen it offered in black. You Euro guys have a MUCH bigger aftermarket for these cars. Shipping is a b*tch but I hang the exotic postage on the garage walls!

mine was originally linen which would've been nice but it was very worn and i switched to black

Hey Olli, I interpeted your post #8 as you having a new interior carpet set. I have the linen interior but there is minor sun damage to the area that covers the spare tire. I have seen floor carpet, door covering and console pieces in Linen color but never the rear cargo area piece, [only in black]. I think the light color interior adds a 'Airy' and 'Spacious' look that is pure 'Class' :cool:

That's odd. My US spec '88 951 cargo area is totally linen. Actually i have two extra linen cargo area sets in my "stock"

We checked out son's 951 more carefully. I suppose we cannot speak Slate Gray any longer; option sticker identifies this car as a Diamond Blue, LM5U, I have never heard spoken of this color earlier. We were so sure it was Slate Grey, have to get used this Diamond Blue now :) Actually it's quite interesting color, different light makes it look totally different. Garage lights make it look a little bit purple and outside it's like Slate Grey is. Strange color :)
