Junior did some painting. Also this area was damaged by the engine fire. Area was easy to prepare after the damaged windshield was removed. Now there is a nice coat of satin black paint. Son also repaired wiring loom section which goes to heater blower and windshield wiper's motor. Now we are ready to install heater/AC unit and 968 dashboard

i am getting quite thrilled with son's project. We are more or less ready about to put all reconditioned parts back to 951. Have already discussed with some of my friends who own (or has owned) 951. Most likely we are going to have a session where all of these friends will come over to help us to assemble parts back to son's 951. We have already test installed some blue colored 968 interior parts and they fit perfectly to Diamond Blue exterior color.

Looks great
One question?
Did you use Loctite on those brake guide plate screws when you replaced them ? After the nightmare I went through with getting them out I was a bit hesitant to put it on ...?
Thanks in advance

Your 'Broke College Student' Son has a wealth of knowledge now! It's fitting that this much work should be given a name at the upcoming Christening. It's such a pleasure to watch this, and your family, come together.

Ed,
i usually put some Loctite to the plate screws. Calipers which can be seen on those pictures are new ones. They are Clone Reds, so cheap clones from Big Reds
My broke collage student went yesterday with his friends to have some fun during Eastern holidays. Have some snowboarding at north when there is still some snow left

Luckily his grandmother have a nice cabin there, so they only have to pay for lift tickets and food. Of course young men does not drink anything...

Skiing and wrenching are both good for the Spirit. That resort looks like - 1 hour in DD, 34 minutes in N/A, 26 minutes in 951,- from my house ... Mt. Spokane ... but it's snowing here NOW.

Thanks Peep,
Hockey final was great, Too bad goalie Viktor Fasth had some bad luck, so the game was not any thriller on the third perioid. Most likely Swedes will show on the next finals (in Helsinki) how to play. Usually home team does not manage to win.
