Whats so funny is, I know all those street signs.. high horsepower street racing has always been strong here in Houston. BTW.. most motorcycles have terrible acceleration above 100mph. only a few are truly fast up high.

It's true, however that's a local NM guy (not one i would even want to pretend to be friends with, though), and it's a modded ZX14 with a 50 shot. I'm sure he's well into the 200 range. From what the guy on the bike said, the Gallardo was "turned down" for those races (i guess the transmission on them won't take 1500hp for long).

That vette in the video belongs to a local member on a board I frequent. He is changing alot on this car this year in hopes of a rematch with SW's lambo.

Should prove interesting.

Don't know the guy so I can't say.
No not the second video. The first one. Its owned by someone I know. The second video of a different corvette, I don't know that car at all.
Could be. Rob, ryan, and a few others were down there and they drive high powered 996 cars. I don't think they raced though.

That vette sounds like a jumbo jet taking off. I bet in person it screams like a demon. A little too much "go" for my tastes... (and abilities!)
