Nice work (seems like a lot of it)

As always, your interior is amazing.

And there you go again, its just impossible to keep up with you!!
By the way I love the new head unit too, it fits in perfectly with the rest of your interior.

Your interior is absolutely amazing. There are very few cars that roll of the assembly line today that can even come close to your interior. Outstanding job man.

Default good eye

Greg,

As always, your interior impresses.

I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but the way you placed the wood **** on top of the metal shift rod so that the two look like one piece is really impressive. In other words, it appears as if you placed the wood to match the shape of the metal beneath, making a perfect sphere. It's easiest to see this in the last picture of post #1.

I really like that you painted the console piece and got rid of the Jager piece. Although it was well made, as you said, something about it just wasn't right. Now, if they made an aluminum replacement piece for the console...

Thanks everyone. Getting the wood to mate to the metal was the hardest/most tedious part. I went back and added a picture of the bottom of the wooden part in the DIY post.

Just for grins, here's a picture of the highly sophisticated prototyping phase, which consisted of a 2" diameter foam ball from Hobby Lobby and a Sharpie

FWIW, I like the idea but have an after market shift lever that does not use the stock type *****.

If one needs a diagram to find reverse, one needs to be driving a 1979 Chrysler LaBaron!

You'll have to get a new pic for your signature now.
The shifter and head-unit needs to be updated.

I agree your new Alu-look cover is way better than the Jaeger one you had.
