Default Dyno Results -- 493/498

Went back to the dyno today. Car was running fairly well. They could not print a graph for me, but gave me this export. On one of the runs, I actually hit just over 500/500, but apparently did not get that file. I started getting a coolant leak from a hose, so called it a day. It likes more timing on the top end.

No, the second column is rpm -- ran it to 6400, but computer showed it as 6700 (makes me wonder about tach accuracy).

I like it. Your hard work and attention to details is paying off well! A wide and healthy area under the curve. Enjoy it!

Yeah, nice fat torque curve in the mid range there Tom. What boost and fuel?

Very nice results (unless you ran 40 psi race fuel ). +1 for boost level and fuel type.
If I'm reading the numbers correctly max torque comes late and max power comes early - did you have stable boost without spikes or drop-off?
Did you try different cam settings?
Something looks mismatached, cam, ignition curve, turbo or cyl.head. Don't get me wrong, the results are excellent and more than enough power, but from a theoretical point of view there is more power to be had IMHO.

Thanks for all the input.

Specs are:

104.5 89 2.7 block and head with 951 exhaust valves (Under Pressure machining)
Under Pressure Cam
Mahle/Andial 104.5 turbo pistons
88mm crank
carrillo rods
Vitesse: MAF/software, Stage 5 turbo, v-flex, wasted spark
SFR: 3" exhaust from turbo back, intake, i/c, pipes
928 throttle body (modified by yours truly)
46mm Tial
Profec B (original original)

This run was at 24-25psi on GT104. My boost gauge(s) are apparently have a leaky boost line/gauge, since they all read 22 (or maybe the dyno is off -- will investigate that).

Duke -- I have a few ideas about that -- stay tuned...
Dave -- let me know if I can help with the springs/set up...

Tom, that's some nice figures.

I assume you don't get knock at that kind of boost pressure with GT104?

Any chance of knowing which model (year) of 928 TB you are using?
I assume a pre '87 unit?
