Default Lindsey engine rebuild

Has anyone had experience with a Lindsey rebuilt long or short block. I know Mike posts on this site and I have had great customer service from them. I would like some real world reports though.

Thanks

No experience with their engine rebuild but I can't imagine anything less than top notch.

I tried sending them an email to get an idea on pricing to do a stock rebuild and never heard anything back...

I had my head rebuilt by them a year or so ago and it was top quality work. No complaints. It's just a stock 89 951, but it's been running strong since.

Disasterman. Feel free to give us a call to discusss your needs. We can answer all your
questions and concerns. We can't think of anybody doing as much hands on 4cyl engine
builds as we do.

Potentturbo. Try a phone call if the emails don't go through. SPAM is a serious problem and
caught at several levels. Emails are not 100% reliable.

As some recall, I had them build me an entire car. And yes, I was very happy with my 3.0L 8V they built.

Search is your friend here, read and read and read before you make a decision that may or may not cause problems and thousands down the road. Here is a link to one post in a long thread, and then the link to the actual thread. First hand experience is key here....

Like we said, we would be happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Head gaskets are a problem with these cars. Some stories get blown out of proportion.

I believe they built a 3L 2V 968 engine for casturbo. Might PM him to see if he has any input.

Thanks to all of you that responded including the pm's. The rebuild is for a good friend who's car is sitting in my trailer as we speak (bottom end damage at his last track event). He has gone through 3 used engines (in a short period of time) and is trying to make the right decision this time and yours truly is helping provide data for/to him. Really, he has two other blown motors at his house. Proper rebuild of a short or long block depending on what we find is the right way to go. Since this is a track car, warranties are meaningless, confidence and track record are everything.

Lindsey did my motor the previous winter and did it on time and on budget. The car isn't driven during the winter, but does get driven as a daily driver and does lots of track duty. I have approx 13,000 miles total with lots of track time and the motor runs great. Oil analysis is done at each oil change and so far no negative results and oil consumption, even on the track is minimal. I am happy with the motor.
