Selling my SMT6 Piggyback (wiring harness included).

Bought it used, but didn't use it myself. My loss, your gain!

Would this work w/ the Vitesse V-flex, etc?

Ask John, but I doubt it. He has some proprietary software, and I'n fairly sure he won't support it for free.

Gotcha, so this isn't a purchased-from-Vitesse piggyback...? I guess that was my original question really.

It was originally purchased from John, actually.

I believe v-flex compatibility is based on the chip/chipboard version, not the actual smt6 controller. In that case, you'd be fine with this unit.

That solves a lot of problems then.

Who is the original owner?

As ehall stated, the VitesseR PiggyBack uses different software.

Yes, will control timing. Getting it to work is a great big "it depends". It's more than trivial effort for sure. Significant work to wire it correctly into the harness an then you need to develop the maps. I've installed one into my BMW 535 and it while it works great, it was no small effort. I understand John has a nice (nearly?) plug and play solution with these and you'd likely come out ahead by leveraging his work.
