Parts 1 and 2.

This is at the Superlap Timeattack event that I spoke of recently. We filmed from a few angles and I've cobbled together this effort. Firstly, I don't know anything about these software editing programs and it's a bit hard to find out much about them. You can read the manual but that doesn't clear it up much more for me. The camera mount from inside the car got loose, somewhat like the driver at times. D'oh.
There were some seriously fast cars at this event. The Red Supra you see is stripped, caged, GT40, race team etc. They said he was only running 580whp. Some quick 4wd cars for sure. We lose out a lot to AWD.

If anyone is we versed at these software programs feel free to lend commentary / advice.

You did a great job! I loved the video. Your car looks outstanding. God I can't wait to get out on the track.

Btw your in a pretty serious looking group. Its full of race supras and skylines. I heard straight cut gears coming from that supra as he left. I was like whoa.

Thanks John. Yeah there were some serious cars out there. Surprisingly that Supra and the purple GT33 that you see late in the 2nd part were only doing similar times to me. Supra was about 1 sec quicker. Having said that we were 5-9 secs slower than the fastest guys who were not much slower than our Supercar V8s!!
Many of these Japanese cars are road registered but they are virtually full race specc'd. I think they need to sharpen the classification system a bit more. You line up with cars that come in on a trailer with race teams and you feel slightly outclassed.

As for the editing, it's a start. One thing was how much resolution you lose against the original film quality. I'll have to figure out a better system. I'd like to do a short course on learning about this stuff but not sure if there are any available locally.

nice job and it looked like you held your own very well

a lighter chassis would serve you very well I think. Just don't do it to this car

I'd love to have a really light vehicle Sid. That's what I aspire to, but I won't do it to this current car.

Thanks Tony. We've got another meeting this weekend. I'll be using the Wheels and Slicks in my avatar for the first time so that should prove interesting.

The only problem is that you need to move from Australia to the US (specifically, Southern California!!!).

The we can get you into the POC and run that car like it was meant to be run....

I'd love to be wealthy enough to put it on a plane and do a drive tour through the US. Perhaps one day. I don't know that it's crazy expensive to ship a car?
I'm over there in Sept. (sans car ) but I plan to do some race school or have some instruction of some capacity. We don't have anything like the Skip Barbour type setups. Pity. I think if I was also that wealthy guy I'd setup something like that in Australia.

I liked your video. Even if it wasn't your first time, I thought it was well done. Nice car too! WOW!

Sweet car! and very nice video.

Thank you for not putting some crappy music over it like 90% of the other videos I see.
