Not bad! Still 250lbs lighter than a new Corvette--or 12,425lbs lighter than a GT-R!

Damn all that removed and still 2930. I think porsche was waaay off on their estimates on the cars weight. Aren't they supposed to be just a tick over 3000lbs stock?

Seems like there were varying levels of weight from the factory with all their factory options. When I got my car, I weighed it immediately. It was 3050lbs. Already had the rear seats removed, washer tank, and spare tire and service tools were all removed.

I knew the 951 had half a 928 motor but didn't know it had half the weight as well.

Interestingly enough according to Porsche brochure for 88 Turbo S the car weighs 1350kg, or 2976lbs.

No I was not in it so the weight is car alone, however when they corner balanced it they simulated my weight in the drivers seat

I took it into the race shop for corner balance and alignment and that is where the weight came from

yeah, that sounds about right. These cars are really heavy. The factory numbers are a joke.

Maybe US cars weighed more due to extra crash protection (read ugly bumpers)?
