Default Let's help out Judson 951. He can't part that car.

Well, we had a guy, last Summer, who was going through a rough time, and needed some help. The community came together to donate whatever we could, in order to help the guy weather the storm.
Justin is caught in this economic down turn, like so much of the World, and is in need of a new job. Until then, he has to make ends meet.
If he sells his car, he will get pennies, on the dollar, for a car worth every bit of 30 or 40k. He's put years of work into making it, arguably, the best 2.5 ltr example, in existense.
So, if you can offer him a position, which is the best option, please do, or get his name out there.
If we can donate, to help him afford to keep the car, and take care of his family, I ask that you do that.
If he has to sell, let's find him a buyer.
He's been a faithful member of this board for years. Many of us have bought, sold, or been part of a group buy, on some part, with Justin. He's ALWAYS been a class act and a valued member here.

If you can pitch in, or buy his car, please jump in.
Thanks,

E

someone get justin to email me at blpskiATyahoo.com

There is a guy who wanted to buy my car but lost out. I've tried to get in touch with my ex bnlaw but he was/is in New Orleans at Mardis Gras about him buying his car.

Not sure if he can afford Justin's original price but maybe I can put them together and they can reach deal. I'm headed to Lafayette today so I'll check email tonight...and I'll help too.

Its just a horrible market. I don't know of anyone willing to part with 15k for a 944 turbo right now. In any shape. His is worth 20-25k in my book if the market was right.

I can however donate some monies. Let me know how you guys want this to shake down.

I must confess, I made love to his tailpipe at the Fest in 2008. Nothing more, nothing less. Just pure sweet lovin'.

Great idea Ehall. Any idea how the guy who we donated to is doing now? He had a real rough time.

I am in for donation to help someone out. I really wish I could just buy the car and help him that way, but don't think I can get this under the radar.
Parts are fairly easy when they come in small boxes a few time a week. And the boxes that come in, get shipped out with other parts in them to others who need them, until you leave your paypal account open and your wife sees just how much those small boxes added up too. Lessen here, always log off paypal.

CPR, I did warn the wife the box would be here while I was gone for a week, and it would be LARGE. We'll just wait to see what happens.

Can anyone here afford to buy the car from him for a fair price (hard to say what that is, but I thought $20k was a good deal considering the quality of the car and the modifications), with the intention of selling it back to him when he gets back on his feet? I get the sense that a few hundred or even thousand $ of donations won't get him where he needs to be financially right now. Don't want to speak for Justin, but that's my impression.

A fair price is what a motivated buyer will give to a motivated seller on any given day.

Judging by the response, looks like parting it out may be the best use of his time.

WOW !!!!!!!!!

Rennlist Thank You.

Just a quick update. I have a buyer who is sending me a deposit on the car.

He is a Rennlist member.

To those of you who offered money I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am ok though. Take the money and send it to Rennwish or some other great charity of your choice if you want. I know there are other members that need the money more than I do.

I will update this later as I am busy now at work.

Elliott, Alan, Rob, Nelson, Matt, Travis, Dan, Sam, Future, CPR and everyone else..... THANK YOU !!!!!!!!
