Default Resisters under footboard

Can anyone confirm what the resisters under the passenger side foot area are used for? I think they are for the climate control blower, but need to know for sure before I rip them out.
Thanks

Wired into the DME harness?

I need to go look in the garage and see if I can spot what you are talking about.

Sorry. Can't help you on that one. I'm a bit curious myself.

Just went through the entire PET catalog and it was on one of the last pages. Yup for the cooling fans.

Your car is an 86 huh? In 86 they were in the footwell and had small black thermal switches. I replaced the crumbling wires on mine and broke one of the thermal switches. 87+ cars didn't have thermal switches but their resistors were out side the car to the right of the battery. I know run mine with now switches but I routed the glovebox cooling pipe up to the resistors.
