Well sure it is Sid, but the 'benefit' was for the camera with a couple of flames on the downshifts on the last lap. All for the fans of course.

Thanks for the nice comments to the other guys. It sure is fun to get our cars out onto the track and use their potential.

Well this has me concerned as how the car is going to handle the serious 'bump' in power that is coming. There are corners that I can't imagine coming in much quicker to and retaining balance and control so we'll have to see what happens. Should be fun, or .......

Patrick,
Good driving, looks like a fun track! Do you know when you get 1 bar w/ that BIG turbo? Doesn't seem like it lags from the videos. Have you dyno'd this setup?

Thanks Kyle. It is a fun track and quite tricky. It doesn't show up so much on the videos. Very much a risk reward track. The risks can put you into a wall pretty easily too.
The place is unfortunately going to be closed down soon as it's been re developed for housing. So in a city with a population of 4.4 million, we will have 1 track left!!!
I can get away with the big turbo because I have the S2 ring and pinion. Without it, I would be way behind. I get 1 bar in the high 3s but it comes on with a nice kick. I'm running 1.4 bar and E85 w 83lb injs. Sean's car does spool up quicker than mine but maybe on a longer straight I would reel him in a little. Still my setup is very livable and I actually quite like it even though it's not ideal.
I haven't dyno'd this motor. I would guess in the 340whp on 1.4 bar?

Sorry you'll lose your track!
I'd guess you have more than that! A Stage 2 would have more than that at 1.4 bar...Lorax has done it!

Yeah I'm only guessing. The rest of the motor is stock. So it's anybody's guess. Feels pretty good though. Just not a lot of torque low down.

Reference your first pic patrick - I'd love to know what G you are pulling there - Great pics and vids as always mate

Looks like you need to stiffen that front suspension a little more as you are cornering very hard - Are you running the stock KW springs?

Cars make less power in their hemisphere, or so I'm told

Thanks Mark. The shocks at that stage were almost on full soft. We changed the fronts later in the day and this helped somewhat. I probably needed to stiffen the rears too, but we were trying to combat a bit of slidy oversteer which you can clearly see. I also found my rear lhs tyre underinflated too, so it's amazing how much difference a few psi count. That corner is interesting and really doesn't show up in the pics how quick and steep the short straight is before it. Lots of loading up the RHS as you've mentioned. It's actually a slow corner and even though it's quite a steep entry into it, you have to wait quite some time before you can get onto the accelerator....or at least we do in our 2wd cars. Rod can blast through there a bit quicker than us in his quietly modded Hakkinen Evo. I must say they're an impressive car out of the box and much cheaper to modify. Makes one think......

3" turbo back all the way through, no cat. Sounds pretty good from inside the car.

What strut brace is that fitted in Sean's car?

Yes the Tommy Hakkinen Evo 6 is won hell of a car out of the box. Just a shame about the poor cast manafolds which choke the engines performance - A tubular manifold is by far the first upgrade for Evo 4,5,6 owners.
