Impossible to do unless you start tube framing it up for space. Not that Mike shirks a challenge...g'wan Mike, do it, spit on my impossible and show me the error in my ways. heheh.

Actually I think it would be quite funny to put a 951 motor into a 928. Get one that is good for say 400whp and go to a 928 meet and watch their faces drop when you pop the hood. Too funny...

I did once seriously consider building a factory five cobra replica with all 951 drive train and suspension. I even found a finished one and did all the measurements - it would fit with a little fabrication.

Imagine a 1900 lbs car with 951 power and handeling....and the look on the faces when you opened the hood!

Hey, one day when I was doin meth I had a vision... why not put a 951 engine in my John Deere. Then the meth wore off and I remembered I was a redneck so I decided to put a LT-1 in the JD. God, could you imagine going down to the co-op and trying to explain that mistake. Whew, that was close.

Yes I know you'd have to tube frame the front end, and once you do that, the possibilities open up.

I swear if I can ever get a good deal on one I'll buy a cayenne v8 and work it in.

Hey go for it I say. Depends on what you can get away with and what you want from your car. I don't pour scorn on the LS1 guys. I reckon the advantages are obvious. Shoehorning a Porsche V8 would somehow seem more 'right'. Not sure of the dimensions of the Cayenne version?

Why in the world would you ever want to do that?

A 928 engine in your 951 would make more sense.

It's huge. You would have to tube frame the front end.

Even the cayenne V6 makes great power, and they are cheaper. Many more of them runing around out there because of audi using the same power plant.
