Default PS line question

I pulled the steering rack because I thought it was leaking. Right as we were dropping it I discovered that the leak was coming from the line that runs from the ger across the cross member to the cooling loop. I'm going to replace the line and just clean the rack since I already rebuilt it a few years ago.

I found 2 different lines online. One is all metal with rubber on the loop side and the other has rubber on both ends. Which one do most people have? Any thoughts or suggestions?

Does either picture match what is on the car now? I think mine is rubber at the pinion housing like Tom's.

Mine is the rubber one too. Its pouring fluid out where the rubber meets the metal. I just didn't know if the all metal one might prevent future leaks.

I've found that you have to use the one with rubber on both ends if you ever need to take off the rack and don't want to have to drop the crossmember to do it. Because of that rubber hose on the end you can take the rack off the crossmember and then undo the banjo bolt from that line.
