Thumbs up The character of this forum

Is it just my memory, or has the character of this forum improved dramatically in recent months? I bought my first 951 last July and signed up for this forum right away. This 944 turbo forum is one of my home page tabs in Internet Explorer that opens every single time I start my web browser, so I'm constantly browsing the newest posts. I had always used the renntech forums before this and felt they were always very professional and focused on problems and upgrades, but their 951 forum is not active. When I came to this forum, it seemed like over 1/4 of the 951 posts were stupid junk that had nothing to do with technical issues or working on these cars, and they were really annoying. Lately, there have been a lot of quality posts and little to no annoying crap. It's been a real pleasure recently.

Yes a few dbags have been ousted and it's a much better place now. Thanks in part to some dedicated newcomers who love the cars and stay away from the drama.

I think the quality posts have ALWAYS been here. For a while though, you hadto sort through some childish stuff to find them. I am nt privy to everyones inside jokes, and there dosn't need to be a post for each one.

In short, I think the percentage of quality posts has gone up even if the sheer number of posts have gone down.

Well I can't correct your grammar while eating the cheese doodles...it leaves orange marks on the keyboard.

AND you are now typing coherent sentences

My monkeys have been keeping me way to busy to fight....

Or it could be I gots me one of those newcommer things, and it is keeping me entertained....

And I have always prefered the outside jokes to the inside ones, at least when it is nice enough to have outside jokes I can be enjoying my outside cars...

How about the central VA weather today anyone? It hit 59 in Stafford today, only hit 33 yesterday...Teens earlier in the week..... BRRRR, I like this weather much better...

I'm new here - bought a 951 in December and this forum has been invaluable to me. I went from not knowing a damn thing to feeling pretty comfortable about diving into stuff (nothing too crazy of course...)knowing I've got some good backup here on the forum.

It's one of the first sites I check when I open IE...I'm addicted!!

The great part is that all the young newbies work hard at being clear in their posts. I just got an email from a niece who is in her early 20s. No capitalization, minimal punctuation, use of abbreviations and contractions that am I still trying to figure out.. Would not want to see a post that looked like that.
