Default FS: UPP Balance Shaft Delete kit

Brand new. Never installed. All hardware, o-rings, and Loctite 574 sealant included in kit.

Lindsey's kit is currently $199. This kit is made by UPP, and is not excatly like the LR design, but it's close enough, and other RL'ers have reported previous success with this design. Very nice machine work here, clear ano throughout.

I'll sell for $125 OBO shipped to US address.

I just saw them, I have a question.. will it work on my '86? lindsey sells a different kit for 86 cars...

I was hoping this would just be a flat cover that replaces the whole BS cover to save space also...

Whats the feedback on these kits. I imagine problemsa with the oil pickup tube and excessive vibration for street use?

Would be an option for my problem with the lower balance shaft...hmf

I don't have the invoice for the kit, so I cannot say if there was a difference with the UPP kits as there is with Lindsey.

I will tell you the engine this kit was scheduled to go into was late, but I do not recall in my conversation with Scott if he asked about early v. late usage.

Perhaps another lister with experience can chime in?

Post a picture of the UPP kit and we may be able to determine whether or not it makes a difference. We have never seen one.

The difference between our early and late kit is the diameter of the cylinder that goes where the bearings halves do (the blue and red items in the pictures) and the 0-rings that go on them. It's approx. 1mm difference.

We wanted to retain the balance shaft covers because we didn't want to decrease the overall strength and support of the block, however much they may or may not help.

What do your cylinders mic. out at, early v late?

The UPP kit shows ~30mm at the bearing lands (using a crappy caliper).

We suggest you give UPP a call and get some exact answers as to
what you have.
