AN interesting note for 8v 3 liter builders - the 16v 3.0 engines have a harmonic damper built into the a/c alt pully and the 8v engine do not. The harmonic damper is a good idea to keep for the larger crank....

Looks like we have similar motors. Have you been to a dyno?

Yes, it did 386 at 17psi on a Mustang with a big boost leak. I'm heading back to the dyno probably around the first of the year. This first tunning session was for driveabiltiy. The next one will be for max hp. I may change the cam before I go back.

Why don't we include any dyno charts / numbers as well? Do you have your numbers Tom?
My 3L motor with VR stage 5 turbo did 288whp at 9psi / 5500rpm which made me hopeful once the engine was run in.

Arto, what do you mean dyno'd 430/550 from the crank? Are you saying at 13psi you're getting 550 hp at the crank??? No body will get near you! Even 430whp will take the record at that psi.

I only have this one so far. Still looking for a place that can run a dyno and its software...

Tom you should start a list with everyone's names on it as they add their setups to the thread.

Make it a real registry.

That's a good idea John. Have a list with each name having a link to the details of their car and numbers. I would think that it would take up too much space otherwise?
