Extra toggle switch?
Does anyone have an extra toggle switch I could either have or buy? I need one of the ones that would mount just above the shfter.
Thanks,
Chuck

Perhaps I should clarify.
I am going to try to connect the switch to my garage door opener. I am trying to use an OEM switch that fits in one of the unused slots on the console so it looks like it is supposed to be there.
Has anyone done this?

I put an extra power lock switch in to control the garage door opener. Basically I just soldered a couple of wires on either side of the momentary switch on the opener itself, ran them to the new lock switch, which is also a momentary switch, and then tucked the opener up under the dash out of view. I even printed out a little icon of a garage door opener on a label to cover up the lock icon...
Works slick!

P.S. I actually mounted mine in the switch blank next to the fog lamp switch but it would work just as well in the console.

Found a picture. I decided on the dash location as it was less likely that passenger or I would bump it accidentally and bring the garage door down on top of the car...

I did the same thing only I used a spare window switch, it has no arrows on it anymore and either way you push it it opens the garage door. I put it in the center console just in front of the shifter.

I used a spare rocker switch above the shifter. I wired it to a small battery powered remote control which sits behind my under-radio gauge panel. If memory serve, the swich I used was originally a central door lock switch -- i.e., it was a momentary on, rather than a click on/click off type. You can get 'em by the dozen on ebay...
