Nice pics Mark!
I'm still trying to figure out why that motor seems to be sitting so low in the engine bay shots?

Three Wheelin'
Being a full out race car, it's had a lot of chassis modifications. I wouldn't try those locations on the street version.

The lower the motor, the lower the center of gravity... maybe fab'd up some sort of crazyness to get it to sit that low? Hard to tell with full blown race cars because they're so highly modified and different from the norm.

Tri setup - that's the most common (because 3 points define a plane). 911s have two jacks in front of the rear wheels and one in the front trunk (think about the weight distribution). 944s have 2 behind the front wheels and one in the trunk. The spare tire well area is a popular place for the rear one, and the fronts are usually down in the foot-well connected to the front of the roll cage.

All my 944 series car have a jack point in the blue circled area. I use them for jack stands when I need more creeper room under the center of the car or when the rear suspension is being pulled. FWIW.

This is a replica from late Henri Toivonen's rally 911.

Have you ever seen a 16" Fuchs with 951S caliper?
