Default Cruise control doesn't work

I have replaced the cruise control brain behind the carpet in the drivers foot area and then the actuator under the hood. Neither helped.

Can anyone suggest what I should try next?

Have you checked the switch?

What switch are you referring to? Is there a speed sensor that could be bad?

What is "cruise control"?
I've never seen one that works, on a 951.

Sorry, about the hasty response. The turn signal, wiper, cruise switch on the steering wheel may be bad. There are contacts in it that can get dirty. They are a PITA to clean. I actually just bought a new one.

That being said, are you sure that cruise brain that you have is good? I had to resolder a bunch of the contacts on the board to get it to work.

I have tried 2 different cruise control units. I guess I could have 2 bad ones but chances are slim. The turn signal contacts are a possibility though. Is there a way to test any of the coponents while in the car?

You can check the switches by measuring resistance over different terminals in the connector for control unit while activating the switches. Also check if the wires are ok from control unit to servo unit/actuator. You need a wiring diagram and a resistance measuring instrument for that .
