Since the MAP sensor will be required, I think you ought to just add it to the kit and adkust the price. People don't like feeling nickel and dimed to get the whole thing. It's purely a psycological thing. My 0.02

I agree! We will continue to offer the existing (GEN-1) kit as is, and offer a second V-FLEX kit that will be priced $125 more. Eventually we'll drop the generic kit and just offer the V-FLEX.

I haven't even looked at the marketing aspect yet. Thank you for the input!

So then by your answer, I can deduct that running two MAP sensors would be the fix for the Zeitronix set up. One for each. Or use the Zeitronix unit only for the gauges and warnings, and switch to your set-up for logging?

Doug, The DME is aware of a unique MAP sensor which we provide and must be used. The PiggyBack, since it's user configurable, can be used with any MAP sensor (as long as you know its curve to program the PiggyBack).

Some 951 owners may not want to add a PiggyBack, then the V-FLEX software will disable the features that depend on the PiggyBack.

Sounds very interesting , but any update has to wait until winter time though ..
Btw you still need piggyback (smt6 ) to alter fuel right?
You say some may want to add piggyback , in my ear that sound like "you can use it with out piggyback"

The upgrade is simple, just the shipping time is time consuming. The goal is to have a 24hrs turn around time when I get it, at least this is the goal.

The V-FLEX will work without the PiggyBack, however the "Limits" capability will not be available unless you have a PiggyBack.

THis is fantastic news John and sounds like just what I need to keep the timing in check

Can I confirm that I would just need to install your map sensor and then flash my existing piggyback to be able to run V-Flex?

Hi Paul, as I understand it you are installing the Wasted Spark, this gives you ignition control as well as fuel. With the V-FLEX you take it a step further.
For the V-FLEX to operate, you need the Vitesse MAP sensor
and I will need to reflash your chip/board (not the piggyback). If you have any questions, feel free to contact me directly to discuss your particulars.

Hey John, this sounds awesome! Looks like I have an upgrade to look forward to. I *finally* have the 951 on the lift and am planning on doing some cam tower swapping as soon as I get a break from work. Question for you, should I upgrade the chip now before doing the cams, or wait until afterwards? (um yeah, I know... its only been a year now... lol)

Thanks, as always, for being a consistent source of support for us 951 owners.

Regards,

Is the V-Flex similar to the Bo-Flex?

This is the reason I chose Vitesse. Solid products from a company that will be there. John and his company Vitesse have integrity.

Geez, do you ever have anything of substance to add to a thread? Ever?

I thought it was a valid question. You disagree. Others may not.

FWIW - I think my "bump" is substance enough.

Hi Scott, can we say "over a year"? LOL I look forward to seeing the results.
Run what you have for now, also use the FQS to alter timing with both cams and both pump/race maps.

I sent you a few emails and PMs a while back. Drop me email, we'll go over the details.
