I still don't really understand the difference between 'light knock' and pre-ignition or pinking? I get that pre-ig is essentially the combustion occurring too early and meeting the piston still on the upstroke or earlier than it should. You can see that this could lead to damage. What is happening when Knock occurs?
Sorry for the OT but I'm sure that I'm not the only one slightly confused. Anyone can answer this too, not just John.

There are a few things in the work, that "might" find their way to the 951 market. However this will be for another thread, I want to keep this thread limited to the V-FLEX.

haha I am having alot of fun in NY for sure. I love it up here aside from the scarey aspect of salt. I still don't know how im going to combat that one.

I pick up the car tomorrow. I'm looking forward to the drive home for sure.

john, salt is no big deal up here. I just pressure wash the underside of the car 1-2x/ week.

can't wait to check out your car. I'm bringing my trailing arm to van today to see if we can get it sorted out. If all works out, today I should be back in my 951. If you see a red 87 951 with chrome 18s (or silver 16") in k-town.. its me
