Default "Power Box" fuel management kit?

Anyone hear of a product called a "power box" made by "Performance 911 Ltd?

I was flipping through an old (April '95) Excellence magazine and came across the ad.

It looks like an aluminum block with an adjustment screw on the side and a preassure guage on the top. From a picture of it installed, it looks like it mounts on the rear of the valve cover. My first thought is that it's some kind of adjustible FPR - but, in this picture, the stock FPR is still there. Plus, this gizmo costs $690!! That was a lot of dough in '95!

Here's what the ad says: "With the Power Box now you can have the increase in horsepower without Turbo Lag. There is more acceleration at low end, with 22% more fuel available during the boost cycle. The Turbo comes on at least 1,000 rpms to 1,500 rpms earlier and with the increased acceleration Turbo Lag is significantly reduced."

General web searchs don't yeild much.

Oh yeah, it also says it's patent pending...

It sounds like they were using a FMU (fuel management unit) which is (was) pretty common for supercharged applications. They should be avoided if possible and with the modern era of ECU reflashes they're becoming less common.

Google FMU and suprecharger and let us know if it's similar to what they were selling.
